More About Speed, Agility and Conditioning Camp

Our licensed athletic trainers believe that speed, agility, and conditioning are essential to athletic success. In order to help you achieve your full potential, our highly trained performance enhancement staff has developed this 6-week speed, agility and conditioning camp.

Camp includes:

  • Sprint mechanics
  • Explosion and explosive power drills
  • Starting and stopping drills
  • Acceleration development
  • Jumping/plyometric training to improve lateral, linear, and multidirectional speed and quickness
  • First-step quickness with heavy emphasis on neuro-system development through overspeed and resistive speed techniques

Goals of Camp

  • Demonstrate functional strength and power exercises that can be performed anywhere
  • Decrease the risk of injury during the sports season
  • Decrease 40 yard dash time
  • Increase vertical jump ability
  • Develop proper stride length
  • Learn proper techniques to optimize quickness
  • Improve stride frequency
  • Improve reaction time
  • Improve sprint mechanics

  • Improve neuromuscular coordination

  • Dynamic warm-up
  • Focus on proper sprinting technique

  • Dynamic, full range of motion multiplane strengthening exercises
  • Interval strength training for alternate muscle groups to optimize overall strength and fitness levels

More about Female Athlete Performance Improvement Camp

Contributing factors to this risk are biomechanical, hormonal and anatomical differences between male and female athletes. The Female Athlete Camp specifically focuses on neuromuscular training techniques that, as studies have shown, significantly reducethe risk of knee injuries in female athletes.

Goals of the Camp:

• Improve fitness levels to optimize sports performance
• Prevention of lower extremity injuries
• Improve running mechanics
• Improve jumping and landing mechanics
• Improve neuromuscular coordination
• Improve speed and agility
• Improve explosive power

What to Expect:

• Dynamic warmup
• Core stability and core strength development
• Functional lower extremity strengthening
• Dynamic, multiplane strength and stability training
• Focus on proper running, jumping,and landing techniques
• Speed and quickness conditioning
• Interval training for alternate muscle groups to increase overall strength and fitness levels
• Dynamic cool down
