The key to preventing colorectal cancer is to catch it before it starts and the key to treating it is to uncover it during its early stages. Watertown Regional Medical Center surgeons recommend to get a colonoscopy by age 45 and sooner if you are at higher risk. He performs a wide range of surgical services, including breast surgery and hernia repair and screening procedures, including colonoscopies.

Dr. Shammo is an interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of experience and is the medical director for Cardiology at Watertown Regional Medical Center. As an interventional cardiologist, he performs procedures including cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertion, tilt table, direct current cardioversion, loop recorder insertion, stress test (exercise treadmill), exercise nuclear, pharmacological nuclear (oversight and inter), and echocardiogram (interpretation).
