Honoring Our EMS Partners During National EMS Week
Watertown Regional Medical Center treats thousands of patients each year in our hospital Emergency Room. Many of them come to us stabilized, others still clinging to life, wheeled in by real-life guardian angels, the members of our local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) partners.
During National EMS Week (May 17-23), we proudly recognize the extraordinary EMS professionals who serve on the front lines protecting our community’s health and safety. Every day, our local EMS teams respond with urgency, skill, and compassion – often in the most challenging and unpredictable circumstances. Their work saves lives long before patients ever reach our doors.
Our hospital is deeply grateful for the partnership we share with our EMS providers. Their rapid response, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment to patient care make a profound difference in the outcomes we achieve together. They are the first critical link in the chain of survival, and their dedication and skill strengthen the entire continuum of care.
To all Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, dispatchers, and first responders – thank you for your courage, your professionalism, and your service to our community. Watertown Regional Medical Center is honored to work alongside you and celebrate the vital role you play in protecting and caring for others, especially when they need it most.
Happy National EMS Week – and thank you for everything you do.
